Volunteers are the lifeblood of our program. Each classroom needs at least 2 volunteers present at every BUGS lesson to manage the garden work of planting, weeding, harvesting, and food preparation. While tending the garden, volunteers reinforce the science concept of the month through guided discussions and questions, sometimes with additional activities such as scavenger hunts.
Here you will find many resources to help you learn to garden with students, starting with our main document from orientation. Please also visit the planting page for your grade level specific information.
